Privacy Policy — createritual

createritual is built on a simple commitment: your creative practice is yours. Your drawings, settings, and session history never leave your device. The only data that travels outside it is what's strictly necessary to process a purchase — handled by RevenueCat, described in full below.

What we collect

Data you create — stored locally only

Drawings and sketches made within the app
Session settings — duration, notification preferences
Your practice history and session records

Data collected automatically

Device information (model, operating system version) — for crash reporting and compatibility
Basic performance data — used only to fix bugs

      We do not collect: your name, email address, location, or any information that personally identifies you. createritual works without an account.
    

How we use it

The limited data we collect is used only to:

Run the app and deliver its core functionality
Send you drawing reminders based on your own preferences
Fix bugs and improve performance

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics platforms, or any third-party profiling.

Where your data lives

Your drawings, settings, and practice history are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers. If you uninstall createritual, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.

The exception is purchase data — if you subscribe to a premium plan, that transaction is processed by RevenueCat (see below). No drawing or creative data is involved in this.

Third-party services

RevenueCat

createritual uses RevenueCat to handle premium subscriptions. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes the following on our behalf:

Your device type and operating system
Apple App Store receipt data
Subscription and purchase status
Last seen time in the app
An anonymous user identifier (not linked to your identity)

RevenueCat stores this data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in the United States. If you are based in the EU, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. RevenueCat acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for their own advertising or profiling.

For full details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. To raise a data request related to purchase data, contact us at support@createritual.app and we will coordinate with RevenueCat on your behalf.

      No other third-party SDKs are active in the app. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, or social media trackers.
    

Notifications

If you enable drawing reminders, createritual will send local notifications at times you choose. You can:

Enable or disable notifications at any time in app settings
Customise reminder times
Revoke notification permissions through your device settings

Data security

Your drawings and practice data are stored locally — no server transmission
Purchase data is encrypted in transit via TLS and processed securely by RevenueCat
We request only the permissions the app genuinely needs
No analytics or tracking services are used
Regular security updates are applied

Children's privacy

createritual does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please get in touch at support@createritual.app.

Your rights

Because your creative data lives on your device, you have full control over it. For purchase-related data held by RevenueCat, you have the right to:

Request a copy of the data held about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to processing or request restriction
Data portability (EU users)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@createritual.app. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and coordinate with RevenueCat where necessary.

EU users may also contact their local data protection authority if they have unresolved concerns.
